An intrinsic part of the Vayu Experience is about enjoying the silence and soaking in the grandeur of the mountains that cradle us. It is also about spending time exploring nature and culture.
A typical day is all about waking up to a golden sunrise punctuated with bird-songs and chatter. Azure blue skies make it perfect for reading or taking a relaxed walk through our estate or down to the riverside.Yoga on the deck overlooking the valley is also an experience hard to forget!
As a boutique homestay we also offer a host of curated activities that can be booked in advance at an additional cost

Bird Life
For nature-lovers and avid bird watchers, our estate and the neighbouring forest is a fascinating landscape that is teeming with bird life. From Scarlet Minivets to Verditer Flycatchers to Plum headed Parakeets and Great Barbets, there are more than 50 varieties of native birds which makes it an exciting place for amateurs as well as seasoned birders.

When you are staying with us or if you are visiting the area, do drop by at ‘Guler’, our Earth Store that is located in the Reetha-Pokhra ground. We stock everything that is local, hand-made, organic and earth-friendly, sourced from the interiors of Uttarakhand. Most of the products are made by women’s self-help groups and social enterprises which aim at supporting local craftsmanship and preserving traditional knowledge that has been acquired by the village folk over several generations.
Choose from a variety of Jams, Preserves, Pickles, Herbal Tea-infusions, Culinary Herbs, Spices, Organic Grains, Pulses, Mono Floral or Multi floral Honey or Organic Bilona Ghee which make for a perfect gift for family & friends. We also have a handpicked collection of Pure Wool Shawls, Stoles, Capes, Cowls, Socks and Caps, knitted by hand.
